The process

Step 1
Work the blank down fast with the TURBOPlane or Industrial Woodcarver — establish seat depth, slab edges and the overall stance before any refinement.
Step 2
Flow one surface into the next with progressively lighter passes, keeping walls and joints thick enough for strength.
