The Industrial Woodcarver can be used on a variable speed or cordless grinder, as long as it runs at a speed of 9000 RPM or higher.
Although tungsten carbide is a very hard material (150 Rockwell), it is also very brittle so any plunging or stabbing action may cause the teeth to crack and disintegrate. This is true of any carbide cutters such as router bits, general tooling, and saw blades.
Tungsten Teeth can be damaged (or broken) for several reasons including the following:
IMPORTANT: Unlock and re-tighten the screws regularly.
The tungsten teeth are very tough and will cut hard abrasive timbers without rapid dulling. After several months or weeks (depending on the duration of use), turn the tooth approximately 1/4 turn to reveal a new sharp edge for carving
Possible cause: Build-up of resin Solution: Soak overnight insolvent.
